The Orthopedic Surgeons at Omaha Orthopedic Clinic and Sports Medicine have extensive experience in the treatment of fractures and other injuries. Our goal is to control the pain, promote healing, prevent complications, and restore normal use of the fractured area.
Depending on your injury, your treatment plan may include:
- Immobilization using a cast, brace, or splint. This immobilizes the injured area to promote bone alignment and healing.
- A reduction or manipulation of the fracture back to proper alignment, followed by immobilization.
- Surgery may be required to put certain types of broken bones back into place. Stabilization of the fracture with metal plates, screws, pins, wires, or rods are used to stabilize the fracture to allow alignment and healing.
Many patients delay treatment because they are unsure if they broke the bone. Any type of fracture can be painful and requires prompt medical attention and care. Contact us now to make an appointment.
